SBBV butterfly valve features:

  • capability of the valve emergency closing in the stream of water at maximum flow rate
  • low head loss coefficient
  • service seal located downstream the water flow leaving the valve
  • maintenance seal located upstream the water flow entering the valve is intended for replacing the service seal under the protection of maintenance seal without dewatering the penstock
  • special disk-seal profile
  • two rows of seals in the trunnion bearings
  • manually driven locking member for fixing the disk (to perform operations in a safe manner under the protection of the valve)
  • electrical interlock to prevent the disk rotation until the maintenance seal and locking member are open
  • limit switches for the valve closed and open positions
  • drainage from the valve body
